[origin: EP0102900A2] The invention relates to the industry of public works material and, more particularly, launching devices for girders between bridge piers. The device comprises two associated horizontal parallel falseworks which are straddled by autonomous girder-carrying trolleys which run along the latter, the falseworks themselves running on rollers carried by the piers, characterised in that it comprises means for translational movement from one pier to the other and immobilisation means, comprising, at the base of each falsework (1), an endless chain (3) driven in rotation by driving means (4, 5), which are synchronised, reversible, and lockable as desired and carried by the falsework (1), and, at the top of each pier (6, 7, 8), parallel fixed rack elements each engaging successively with a respective strand (3), of one of the chains on the passage of the device.
