[origin: EP0103048A2] A door leaf consisting of a wooden frame (1), a central layer (2) and cover sheets (6) is built in sandwich form from a composite which comprises both the central layer (2) and applied metal layers (3). This composite preferably also contains plywood or hardboard panels (4). This composite (2, 3, 4) is inserted into the wooden frame (1) while maintaining a gap (5), whereupon the cover sheets (6) are glued simultaneously to the wooden frame (1) and the composite (2, 3, 4). The door leaf has an effective vapour barrier against temperature and humidity differences. The metal layers (3) are not visible from outside. <IMAGE>
