Abstract (en)
This door-closing mechanism comprises a housing (10) and a shaft (16) passing axially through it, these two elements being rotatable relative to one another. A cylindrical rotor (20) delimits within the housing an annular chamber (26) which is filled with a damping fluid, whilst a one-way clutch is mounted between this rotor and the shaft. The clutch slips to allow the free relative rotation of the rotor and housing when the door opens, but makes them fast with one another in terms of rotation when the door closes. Two helical gaskets (24, 25) mounted at the ends of the chamber then deliver the damping fluid towards the central part of the latter. <IMAGE>

Ce mécanisme de ferme-porte comporte un boîtier (10) et un arbre (16) qui le traverse axialement, ces deux éléments pouvant tourner l'un par rapport à l'autre. Un rotor cylindrique (20) délimite à l'intérieur du boîtier une chambre annulaire (26) qui est remplie d'un fluide d'amortissement tandis qu'un embrayage unidirectionnel est monté entre ce rotor et l'arbre. L'embrayage glisse pour permettre la libre rotation relative du rotor et du boîtier lorsque la porte s'ouvre mais les rend solidaires en rotation lorsque la porte se ferme, deux joints hélicoïdaux (24, 25) montés aux extrémités de la chambre refoulant alors le fluide d'amortissement vers la partie centrale de cette dernière.
