Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0103763A2] The invention relates to an insulator (1) which has a mounting bracket (4) fitted centrally on the lower side (1a) in the axial direction. The surface (2) (outer side of the sleeve) of the insulator (1) has an electrically conductive coating (3), e.g. metal coating. The outer side (2) of the sleeve of the insulator (1) is formed by a metal cup (14) placed over the insulator (1), with a push fit, which has an attachment web (8) on one side. The mounting bracket (4) can have an attachment device (7) for the electrode wire (5). The mounting bracket (4) can be bent in a U-shape and can have a circular spring winding (17). The free end (18) of the mounting bracket (4) has an attachment device (7) which is formed by a diametric hole (19) or by a wire winding drum placed thereon with a removable crank and a splint which is inserted through the drum and the hole. The insulator (1) is attached to a mast (6) of the capacitive protective fence such that either the conductive coating (3) is attached via a conductive mounting device (8) (attachment web) to the earthed mast (6) and the electrode wire (5) is attached to the mounting bracket (4), or the conductive coating (3) is electrically connected to the electrode wire (5) and the insulator (1) is attached via the mounting bracket (4) to the mast (6). <IMAGE>
