Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0103860A2] The invention relates to a ventilation blind with a number of slats which are in each case at the front end mounted in a common frame and can be operated jointly so that they are movable between an opening position and a closing position, overlapping in the closed position. If it is to lead to sealing, the overlapping must be a contact overlapping so that, on closing and when the closed blind surface is subject to wind stresses, considerable disturbing noises occur, which in view of the sheet construction are particularly irritating. Moreover, as a result of the movement play, it is not possible even in the closed position to achieve complete sealing in relation to the penetration of precipitation on the one hand and in relation to heat loss from the inside to the outside on the other hand. In order to eliminate these abovementioned disadvantages, the invention envisages that the slats are provided with sheet sections which project at the front end, on which sections a common operating rod is articulated, and that furthermore the slats are in the front region pivotable about shafts (21) which are inserted in a common bearing strip connected to the frame. The operating rod then bears a sealing rod (10) which extends in its longitudinal direction and consists in particular of rubber and which in the closed position is in contact, preferably under tension, with the bearing strip, with a leg (15) of the angled profile of the operating rod and with a cranked surface (12) of the front-side slat sheet. In cross-section, a three- point bearing for the sealing rod (10) is thus arrived at, which rod, as a result of a limited inclination and in particular of its elastic properties, ensures a completely impermeable sealing in the edge region of the slats, and, as a result of an existing closing tension, compensates the bearing clearance.
