[origin: EP0103907A2] The stand consists of a plate which carries, at its centre, an element which serves to centre the base of the tree trunk, of the post and of the stake, and which rests on at least three legs extending, on the one hand, underneath the plate in order to bear on the ground and, on the other hand, above the plate, where the upper ends of the said legs are capable of moving closer together in order to grip the trunk by means of a pivoting mounting of the legs on the plate.
