[origin: WO8303491A1] The coin introduction channel, common to all coin values and to which are associated the members of a coin control device, leads to a section (2) wherefrom a plurality of storage channels (3 to 6) start. At each branching point there is arranged a switching device (13 to 16) and at the end of each storage channel a locking device (23 to 26) is mounted. The storage channels open to a routing channel (30) which, according to the position of a switching device (33) arranged at its end, brings the coins either to a return channel (34) or to an encashment channel (35). The switching devices (13 to 16, 33) and the locking devices (23 to 26) are controlled by a control unit of a microprocessor. During control of the coins, the value of each coin is determined and the different coins are then shifted or switched, by the positioning of the respective switching devices (13 to 16), towards the storage channels (3 to 6) corresponding to each value. The microprocessor memorizes in a memory the number of stored coins in each storage channel (3 to 6) and calculates each time the difference between the total value of the stored coins and the value of the service or goods provided. When, after having obtained the desired service or goods, an amount unused still remains, the microprocessor compares the value of the individual stored coins in the storage channels (3 to 6), as well as the sum of those values, with the remaining amount and determines the coins, respectively the combination of coins, of which the value is the closest to the remaining amount. The control unit controls the locking devices (23 to 26) and the switching device (33) located at the end of the routing channel (30) so as to route the coins to be returned to the return channel and to encash the other coins.

Le canal d'introduction des pièces de monnaie, commun à toutes les valeurs de monnaie et auquel sont associés les organes d'un dispositif de contrôle des pièces, aboutit dans une section (2) d'où partent plusieurs canaux de stockage (3 à 6). A chaque point de bifurcation est disposé un dispositif d'aiguillage (13 à 16) et à l'extrémité de chaque canal de stockage est monté un dispositif de blocage (23 à 26). Les canaux de stockage débouchent dans un canal d'acheminement (30) qui, selon la position d'un dispositif d'aiguillage (33) disposé à son extrémité, amène les pièces de monnaie soit dans un canal de retour (34) soit dans un canal d'encaissement (35). Les dispositifs d'aiguillage (13 à 16, 33) et les dispositifs de blocage (23 à 26) sont commandés par une unité de commande d'un microprocesseur. Lors du contrôle des pièces de monnaie on détermine la valeur de chaque pièce et les différentes pièces sont ensuite aiguillées, par le positionnement des dispositifs d'aiguillage (13 à 16) respectifs, vers les canaux de stockage (3 à 6) correspondant à chaque valeur. Le microprocesseur mémorise dans une mémoire le nombre des pièces stockées dans chaque canal de stockage (3 à 6) et calcule à chaque fois la différence entre la valeur totale des pièces stockées et la valeur du service ou la marchandise fournie. Lorsque, après avoir obtenu le service ou la marchandise demandée, il reste encore un montant inutilisé, le microprocesseur compare la valeur des pièces individuelles stockées dans les canaux de stockage (3 à 6), ainsi que la somme de ces valeurs, avec le montant restant et détermine les pièces, respectivement la combinaison de pièces, dont la valeur s'approche le plus du montant restant. L'unité de commande commande les dispositifs de blocage (23 à 26) et le dispositif d'aiguillage (33) situé à l'extrémité du canal d'acheminement (30) afin que les pièces à rendre soient acheminées vers le canal de retour et que les autres pièces soient encaissées.
