Abstract (en)

An explosion-proof plug-in or coupling box (1) has a housing (2) in which there are arranged connecting terminals (8, 9), switching devices and a socket carrier (13) connected to the housing. Seated rotatably on the socket carrier (13) there is a retention device (31) which is coupled in a driven manner to an operating knob (12) mounted rotatably in the housing (2). A longitudinally moving safety device (37, 75), in the socket carrier (13), is associated with the retention device (31), the retention device (31) being held rigidly by the safety device (37, 75) in the first position, in which the switching device (11) is switched off. By insertion of the plug (20), its retention tab (40) operates the safety device (31) and the retention device (31) is released so that it is turned by rotation of the operating knob (12). In this way, it moves into the second position, in which the plug (20) is held rigidly by the retention device (31). By means of a further latch cut-out associated with the safety device (31), and which is located between the first and the second position of the retention device (31) it is impossible to circumvent the plug- in or coupling box (1) with simple tools. <IMAGE>

Abstract (de)

Eine explosionsbeschützte Steck- oder Kopplungsdose (1) weist eine Gehäuse (2) auf, in dem Anschlußklemmen (8, 9), Schaltereinrichtungen und ein mit dem Gehäuse verbundener Buchsenträger (13) angeordnet ist. Auf dem Buchsenträger (13) sitzen drehbar eine Arretierungseinrichtung (31), die getrieblich mit einem in dem Gehäuse (2) drehbar gelagerten Betätigungsknopf (12) gekuppelt ist. Der Arretierungseinrichtung (31) ist eine in dem Buchsenträger (13) längsverschiebliche Sicherungseinrichtung (37, 75) zugeordnet, durch die die Arretierungseinrichtung (31) in der ersten Stellung, in der die Schaltereinrichtung (11) ausgeschaltet ist, festgehalten ist. Durch das Einschieben des Steckers (20) wird durch dessen Arretierungsnase (40) die Sicherungseinrichtung (31) betätigt und die Arretierungseinrichtung (31) freigegeben, so daß sie durch Drehen des Betätigungsknopfes (12) verdreht wird. Hierdurch gelangt sie in die zweite Stellung, in der der Stecker (20) von der Arretierungseinrichtung (31) festgehalten ist. Durch eine weitere, der Sicherungseinrichtung (31) zugeordnete Rastausnehmenung, die sich zwischen der ersten und der zweiten Stellung der Arretierungseinrichtung (31) befindet, wird ein Überlisten der Steck-oder Kupplungsdose (1) mit einfachen Werkzeugen verhindert.
