1. Dowel placer for installing horizontal dowels when producing a concrete carriageway, comprising a horizontal carrier (16) connected by at least two parallelogram braces (20) to a frame (26) of the dowel placer (10), a plurality of dowel holders (18) fixed one beside another on the carrier (16), a raising and lowering means (22, 28) for moving the carrier (16) between an extreme top position, the charging position and an extreme bottom position, the dowel inserting position ; riddling drives which engage the carrier (16) or the dowel holders (18), characterized in that a double arm link (30) is articulated on the raising and lowering means (22, 28) and is that one of the two supports (20a, 20b) of the parallelogram support arrangement (20) is articulated at one end on the carrier (16) and at the other on the raising and lowering means (22, 28) in the region of the double arm link (pivoting spindle 32) and in that the other support (20b) is articulated at one end on the carrier (16) and at the other on one of the two arms (30a, 30b) of the double arm link (30) and in that an adjusting means (34, 36, 40) engaging the other arm (30b) is provided for pivoting the double arm link (30) and thus the carrier (16).

Bei einem Verfahren zur Herstellung einer aus mit einer oder mehreren Betonschichten (48) gebildeten Betonfahrbahndecke geht man so vor, daß man nach der Fertigung einer oder mehrerer Tragschichten in die oberste noch nicht erhärtete Tragschicht von oben her Stahleinlagen insbesondere Dübel (46) eindrückt und unter Rütteln bis in eine vorgegebene Höhe h oberhalb des Planums (14 a)vorschiebt. Um zuverlässig zu erreichen, daß die Dübel bis zur Verfestigung des Betons diese Höhe beibehalten und um auch bei Fahrbahndecken mit lediglich einer Tragschicht dieses Dübelsetzverfahren anwenden zu können wird erfindungsgemäß vorgeschlagen, daß man Stahleinlagen (46) einrüttelt, welche mit der vorgegebenen Höhe h entsprechend ausgebildeten Standfüßen (44) versehen sind.
