A pressurized fluid-operated actuator comprising a lifting cylinder (2) the piston of which is movable inside a body (6), a piston rod (5), and at least one translating element (3) which is connected to the free end (5a) of the piston rod (5) through a strap (4) and is disposed in parallel to the lifting cylinder and is movable in a guide track (7) provided on the outside of the body (6), characterised in that the outer portion of the body (6) has polygonal cross-section along the entire length thereof, and that each outer surface of the body (6) is formed with a longitudinally extending slot (7), a respective one of said longitudinal slots (7) being used as guide track for a translating element (3) while the free longitudinal slots are provided for mounting the actuator on the mechanical unit (12) or another support.
