In heat insulation for buildings using insulating panels (1) which can be fixed to the assigned building wall and provided with a coat of paint (6) on their visible side, easy, time-saving and weather-independent mountability of prefabricated insulating panels (1) and also a clean outward appearance, combined with good insulation, is achieved by the fact that the insulating panels (1) each have, in the region of their sides which are horizontal in the fitted state, a groove (2) which is delimited by two marginal legs (3) and whose clear width corresponds approximately to the thickness of the marginal legs (3), and in that the insulating panels (1), in each case mutually adjacent in the region of their sides which are horizontal in the fitted state, are interconnected in the manner of a tongue and groove, in each case one marginal leg (3) of one insulating panel (1) engaging in the groove (2) of the adjacent insulating panel (1). <IMAGE>

Bei einer Wärmedämmung für Gebäude mit an der zugeordneten Gebäudewand festlegbaren Dämmplatten (1), die im Bereich ihrer Sichtseite mit einem Farbauftrag (6) versehbar sind, wird dadurch eine leichte zeitsparende und witterungsunabhängige Montierbarkeit vorgefertigter Dämmplatten (1) sowie ein saüberes äusseres Aussehen, verbunden mit einer guten Isolierung erreicht, dass die Dämmplatten (1) im Bereich ihrer im Einbauzustand horizontalen Seiten jeweils eine durch zwei Randschenkel (3) begrenzte Nut (2) aufweisen, deren lichte Weite etwa der Dicke der Randschenkel (3) entspricht und dass die im Bereich ihrer im Einbauzustand horizontalen Seiten einander jeweils benachbarten Dämmplatten (1) nach Art von Nut und Feder miteinander verbunden sind, in dem jeweils ein Randschenkel (3) der einen Dämmplatte (1) in die Nut (2) der jeweils benachbarten Dämmplatte (1) eingreift.
