A building element, in particular, of a building block or puzzle set, comprising a straight prismatic body with a square cross section and at least one end (8 ; 9 ; 31 ; 37 ; 44 ; 51 ; 56 ; 66 ; 75) with a shape different from a cross section of the said prismatic body, characterized in that the said end comprises at least one face with a shape curved essentially in conformity with a portion of a cylindrical surface (11 ; 15 ; 32 ; 35 ; 38 ; 41 ; 45 ; 47) inclined in relation to the lateral faces of the prismatic body and whose axis and generatrices are parallel to the two opposed lateral faces of the prismatic body.

Cet élément de construction comprend un corps prismatique droit (7) à base carrée et au moins une tête (8) dont l'enveloppe est un parallélépipède rectangle (10) ayant une base carrée dont le côté est égal à celui de la base du corps, disposé à une extrémité du corps de sorte que sa base coïncide avec la face de ladite extrémité, ladite tête étant évidée selon au moins une surface cylindrique (11) dont les génératrices sont perpendiculaires aux génératrices du corps. L'évidement de la tête est concave de sorte qu'il est possible de réunir un tel élément par emboîtement avec un élément dont la tête présente un évidement convexe complémentaire.
