[origin: WO8401544A1] The device comprises an electrode (2) of which the diameter is of the same magnitude order as the droplet to be projected, said electrode emerging at the surface of an electrically insulating support (1). Said support (1) is immersed into a liquid reservoir (3) presenting an opening (4). The support (1) is arranged so that its face wherein the electrode (2) is flush is recessed by a certain distance from the plane of the opening (4) so that said face is covered by the liquid contained in the reservoir (3) wherein a counter electrode (5) is arranged. Those electrodes (2, 5) are connected to an intermittent current source intended to form an electric field through the liquid which, by concentration to the portion of the electrode (2) emerging from the support (1) causes the projection of a liquid droplet.
