Abstract (en)
The heating apparatus, which uses solid fuels and can be converted at will into a closed or open fire, consists of two boxes (1, 5), an upper box (1) forming a hood to be fixed against a flue wall and a lower box or impermeability section (5) which is connected to the upper box (1) so as to be capable of pivoting downwards, and of a hearth grate (3, 3') which is mounted in a fixed manner on the base of the upper box (1). The lower box (5) is connected to the upper box or hood (1) at its rear part by means of an articulation, such as a horizontal hinge (6), and is held in the closed position against the upper box by a balancing device such as a counterweight (22) with its cable (23), with interposition of a gasket (7). <IMAGE>

L'appareil de chauffage, utilisant des combustibles solides et pouvant être converti à volonté en feu continu ou en feu ouvert, est constitué de deux caissons (1,5), un caisson supérieur (1) formant hotte à fixer contre un mur de cheminée et un caisson inférieur ou bac d'étanchéité (5) relié au caisson supérieur (1) de manière à pouvoir basculer vers le bas, et d'une grille de foyer (3,3') montée fixe à la base du caisson supérieur (1). Le caisson inférieur (5) est relié au caisson supérieur ou hotte (1) à sa partie arrière par l'intermédiaire d'une articulation, telle qu'une charnière horizontale (6), et est maintenu dans la position fermée contre le caisson supérieur par un dispositif d'équilibrage, tel qu'un contrepoids (22) avec son câble (23), avec interposition d'un joint d'étanchéité (7).
