Lift off hinge adjustable in height comprising a first hinge part (1) and a second hinge part (2) integral with members (5, 16) for fixing them respectively to fixed and mobile parts, and a male peg (3) providing the connection therebetween and forming a hinge pin, this male peg comprising an upper cylindrical part (10) engaging in a housing formed by an axial hole (7) passing through the body of the second hinge portion, an intermediate collar (12), defining with the upper cylindrical part (10), a shoulder (13) cooperating with a bearing surface (19) of said housing in the second hinge portion (2), and a lower externally threaded part (14) screwed into an axial tapping pierced in the first hinge portion (1), the first hinge portion (1), having, in its upper face, a smooth recess (7) of diameter equal to that of the collar (12) of the male peg (3) and in which this collar (12) is engaged to a greater or lesser extent depending on the height adjustment, this recess (7) being extended downwardly by the axial tapping (6) in which the threaded rod (14) of the male peg (3) is screwed and which opens into the lower face (4a) of the first hinge portion, characterized in that the lower endmost part of the axial tapping (6) of the first hinge portion (1) and the tapped upper endmost part (22) of the central housing of the second hinge portion (2) are intended to receive externally threaded studs (8, 9, 24; 28) of closure plugs (8, 25; 27) or identical period vases.
