[origin: US4507827A] The cleaning machine for fiber material has an opening roller provided with clothing. The cleaned fibers are again removed from the clothing into a suction chamber by means of a screening member containing a screening wall provided with a nose. The invention improves the clean separation or detachment of the fiber material from the clothing in comparison with the known arrangements, avoids collection of fibers at the nose of the screening member, and, in particular, requires a smaller quantity of suction air in the suction duct leading away from the suction chamber. To achieve this the mutual spacing of the screening wall and roller envelope or outer surface increases in a direction away from the nose in the direction of rotation of the opening roller towards the rearward end of the screening wall.

Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Reinigungsmaschine für Fasermaterial, welche eine mit einer Garnitur (13) versehene Oeffnungswalze umfasst. Die gereinigten Fasern werden in einer Absaugkammer (22) und mittels einer mit einer Nase (21) versehenen Abschirmwand (20) wieder von der Garnitur (13) entfernt. Durch die Erfindung soll, im Vergleich zu bekannten Einrichtungen, das saubere Ablösen des Fasermaterials von der Garnitur (13) verbessert, ein Ansammeln von Fasern an der Nase (21) des Abschirmkörpers (19) vermieden und insbesondere eine kleinere Menge von Saugluft im von der Absaugkammer (22) wegführenden Absaugkanal (23) benötigt werden. Dies wird dadurch erreicht, dass der gegenseitige Abstand von Abschirmwand (20) und Walzenmantel (12) im Rotationssinn (14) der Oeffnungswalze von der Nase (21) weg bis zum hinteren Ende der Abschirmwand (20) zunehmend ist.
