A heat exchanger (k1, K2, K3, K4, K5) including a plurality of plates (A, B, C, D) of a substantially identical shape stacked one on another so as to effect heat exchange between at least first and second fluids. The plates (A, B, C, D) are, respectively, formed with a plurality of flow plates (1A, 1B, 1C, 1D) and at least first and second communicating passages (3A min , 3B, 2C min , 2D; 4A, 5B min , 5C, 4D min ) such that the first and second fluids flow in first and second directions, respectively.
