[origin: WO8303999A1] The screw press has a frame (1) comprised of frame elements (2-6) wherein two screws (10, 11) having screw elements (14) are arranged. Between the frame elements (3-6) choke discs (19) are arranged to reduce the passage of the screws (10) up to a choke slot. The screws (10, 11) are driven by a gear (26). The shafts of the screws extend through the gear (26) and bear on an axial bearing which is secured to the frame by traction bars (25). Through such arrangement, the screw press may be used to process materials which are very different, without important transformation, the liquid contained in the materials being drawn and the solid material dried and transformed into briquettes by a molding head.
