Displacement component of a piston pump for abrasive and/or corrosive liquids, comprising a piston rod and a piston made of oxide-ceramic material that is secured to the rod by means of a detachable connection, the piston having a blind hole extending in the direction of the piston crown, characterised by the following combination of features : the blind hole (5) is cut by a recess (7) that passes through the skirt (6) of the piston (2), a threaded component (8) is introduced into this recess (7), the base (4) of the piston is held by an adaptor (9) secured thereto by means of a screw connection which engages the threaded component through the blind hole (5) and coupled to the piston rod (1).
