Eine Kartoniermaschine hat ein Magazin für flachliegende Faltschachteln (1), eine Fördereinrichtung (10) für aufgerichtete Faltschachteln (1) und eine Einrichtung zum Überführen und Aufrichten der Faltschachteln vom Magazin zur Fördereinrichtung. Um die die Einfüllöffnung der Faltschachteln (1) umgebenden Verschlußlappen (2, 3) zum Füllen nach außen umzulegen, hat die Kartoniermaschine ferner eine Einrichtung (35, 40) zum Umlegen des unteren und oberen Verschlußlappens (2, 3) der Faltschachtel, welche Einrichtung am Überführungsweg der Faltschachteln (1) vom Magazin zur Fördereinrichtung (10) angeordnet ist. Die Einrichtung zum Umlegen der Verschlußlappen (2, 3) hat einen bewegbaren Stößer (35) und eine ortsfeste Führungsschiene (40).
