Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0108990A2] 1. A folding box for accommodating plastics bags (14) which are wound on to form a roll, wherein the folding box comprises the folding portions front wall (1), bottom (2), rear wall (3) top (4) and closure flap (5), of which the closure flap (5) engages over the front wall (1) as far as the bottom (2) and provides a tear-open strip (8) for opening a removal opening (12), and a tear-off device (13) for the plastics bags (14) which are perforated transversely with respect to the direction in which they unroll, characterised by the following features : a) the tear-off device (13) in the form of a substantially trapezoidal tear-off flap (13) for the plastics bags (14) which are centrally provided with a catch slot (16) transversely with respect to the direction in which the bags unroll is provided in the middle region of the lower edge of the removal opening (12), b) the closure flap (5) is glued to the front wall (1) in the region between the bottom (2) and the tear-open strip (8), c) the portion of the front wall (1), which is disposed above the lower edge of the removal opening (12) is joined to the remainder of the material of the front wall exclusively by way of a weakened fold line (10) and can be folded into the interior of the folding box, and d) the foldable part (9) of the front wall (1) is shorter than the overall length of the front wall (1) so that a respective holding flap (11) is formed at each end for the upper part of the closure flap (5) which remains after the tear-open strip (8) has been removed.
