[origin: US4529323A] A leak resistant watch casing is designed to accomodate a thin movement. It comprises a casing ring (7) supporting the movement (5) around which an elastic binding (10) is removably mounted. The binding is of rectangular cross section with the smaller sides of the rectangle being pressed against the case-band (1) and the back cover (11) when these elements are secured together. The binding includes an orifice (17) situated proximate two U-formed openings provided in the periphery of the case-band and back cover in order to accomodate the stem (15) of a control element.

La boîte de montre étanche est destinée à recevoir un mouvement de faible épaisseur. Elle comprend un cercle d'encageage (7) supportant le mouvement (5) et autour duquel est monté de mainère amovible un bandage élastique (10). Ce bandage a une section rectangulaire et les petits côtés du rectangle sont pressés contre la carrure (1) et le fond (11) quand la carrure et le fond sont accrochés l'un à l'autre. Le bandage comporte également un orifice (17) situé en face de deux ouvertures en U pratiquées dans le pourtour de la carrure et du fond pour laisser passer une tige de commande (15).
