Abstract (en)
The roadfinisher is provided with at least a central element (2) and two extensible side elements, (1,1 min ) for laying variable widths of material (16) on the ground. Each of the extensible side elements (1,1 min ) comprisis a preloading device (18) imparting to each of the extensible elements (1,1 min ) a load capable of opposing the strains or stresses which could give rise to deformations prejudicial to a good operation of the machine.
