A work piece support assembly for use in electroplating and adapted to be suspended from a contact bar of an electroplating plant, said support assembly consisting of a carrier which is substantially U-shaped in cross section and shiftable on the contact bar in the longitudinal direction thereof and which comprises a mounting for the support assembly, a screw for tightening the carrier against the mounting for the support assembly passing through one leg of the carrier, characterised in that at the inner side of this leg (3) of the carrier (1) penetrated by the screw an elongated pressure plate (8) is mounted so as to extend parallel to the leg (3) which with one of its ends laterally projects beyond the carrier (1) and by means of the screw (9) passing through the leg (3) and being tightenable against the pressure plate (8) is shiftable against the rod (15) of the support assembly which rests against the contact bar (4).
