The material is tear-resistant, water vapour-permeable, water-tight, and hardly combustible, and is thus suitable in particular for building applications. It consists of synthetic, normally or hardly combustible, organic or inorganic fibres in the form of a sheetlike structure which is impregnated to be water-repellent and optionally flame-retardant.

Das Unterzugsmaterial ist sowohl reissfest, wie wasserdampfdurchlässig, wie wasserdicht, wie schwerbrennbar und eignet sich daher besonders für Bauanwendungen. Es besteht aus synthetischen, normal- oder schwerbrennbaren, organischen oder anorganischen Fasern in Form eines Flächengebildes, das wasserabstossend und gegebenenfalls flammhemmend imprägniert ist.
