Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0109962A1] Xylenes containing ethylbenzene are contacted with a catalyst comprising an acid type mordenite and a specific acid type zeolite such as, for example, ZSM-5, ZSM-8 or ZSM-11, in vapor phase in the presence of hydrogen, whereby there are performed deethylation of ethylbenzene and isomerization of xylenes.
