[origin: WO8402182A1] The projectile comprises a rear portion (N1) of which the diameter determines the gauge of the projectile, and a front portion (N2) of a general conical configuration and terminated by a front point (A). The front portion (N2) is provided between the front point (A) and the rear portion (N1) with a front hollow area (Z17) connected to the front point (A), a rear hollow area (Z7) connected to the rear portion (N1), both these hollow areas (Z17 and Z7) being connected by an intermediate area comprised of at least one bulge area (Z9). The rear portion (N1) of a general cylindrical configuration comprises rounded bulges (P2, P3) separated by hollows (P1). A recess (2) is provided in the rear portion (N1) and extends in the front portion (N2).
