[origin: WO8302871A1] The device is connected through two ports (A, B) to the electrodes of a discharge lamp, said device being supplied by the mains cyclic voltage through a ballast and the electrodes of said lamp. It comprises static means providing for the preheating function (23-29) of the lamp during a period of time depending on the fluctuations of the network and the function for generating a voltage pulse (7-22) occurring only after the preheating time period. It also comprises a protection (6, 30). An interesting example of application are fluorescent discharge tubes of 36 and 58 W.

Ce dispositif se raccorde par deux bornes d'accès (A, B) aux électrodes d'une lampe à décharge, ce dispositif étant alimenté par la tension cyclique du réseau à travers un ballast et les électrodes de ladite lampe. Il comporte des moyens statiques réalisant la fonction préchauffage (23 à 29) de la lampe pendant un temps dépendant des fluctuations du réseau et la fonction d'élaboration d'une impulsion de tension (7 à 22) n'advenant qu'après le temps de préchauffage. Il comporte également une protection (6, 30). Exemple d'application intéresant pour des tubes à décharge fluorescent de 36 et 58 W.
