Fibre tufts are introduced with a first airstream into a collecting shaft (12) and removed therefrom at an exit point (27). On the one hand, the discharged fibre material (16) is formed into tufts of a suitable shape. On the other hand, the air of the first airstream is passed through a bypass (21) and used for forming a second airstream which is used for the continued transportation of the tufts formed. This results in a saving of energy for moving the airstreams. In particular, the amount of transportation air flowing outward is significantly reduced and consequently relatively high costs for cleaning such air are also appreciably reduced. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Gemäß vorliegender Erfindung werden Faserflocken mittels eines ersten Luftstromes in einen Ablagerungsschacht (12) eingebracht und diesem an einer Austrittsstelle (27) wieder entnommen. Gemäß der Erfindung wird einesteils das entnommene Fasermaterial (16) zu Flocken geeigneter Form gebildet. Andernteils wird die Luft des ersten Luftstromes über eine Umleitung (21) geführt und zum Bilden eines zweiten Luftstromes, der zum Wegtransport der gebildeten Flocken dient, verwendet. Dadurch resultieren die Vorteile einer Einsparung von Energie für das Bewegen der Luftströme. Insbesondere ist die Menge der nach außen fließenden Transportluft wesentkleiner und sind somit die relativ hohen Kosten für die Reinigung solcher Luft ganz erheblich reduziert.
