[origin: EP0113972A1] A steel joist for use in a composite steel and concrete construction consists of a web (17), a bottom chord (16) and a double top chord (18) construction consisting of two elongated substantially identical members (21) each of S or Z cross-section and being connected to or integral with the web (17).
