Sports shoe, in particular skiing boot, comprising a shell portion (2) with a sole (3), a rear upper portion (5) pivotable about an axis (9) perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the shoe, said rear upper portion (5) being pivotably connected at two opposite locations (7, 8) by means of a pivot joint (14, 15) to the shell portion (2), further comprising a holding portion (20) arranged within the shoe which intended to act on the upper side of the foot and which is connected via at least one connecting element (23, 24) with a tensioning device (34) located at the outside of the heel portion, characterized in that the connecting element (23, 24) extends through an opening (26, 27) crossing the axis (9) of the rear upper portion (5) and located within the pivot pin (16, 17) of one of the pivot joints (14, 15), so that the force acting on the foot by the holding portion (20) and defined by the tensioning device (34) is independent of the angular position of the rear upper portion (5).
