[origin: EP0114218A2] 1. A window or door having a blind frame and a sash or casement frame made of metal profile bars, said frames being covered with lining strips of wood or a synthetic material on their outsides and/or insides, each of said lining strips (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10) having a slot or groove (11) which extends over the full length of the strip and is open at the strip face bearing upon one of said metal profile bars for the accomodation of retainer means, characterized in that a row of retainers (12) is fixed on both each metal profile bar and each lining strip in a spaced arrangement, said retainers (12) being offset in the one row relative to those in the other row in the longitudinal direction of said metal profile bar and/or lining strip, each of said retainers (12) having a channel (14) serving to accomodate a fixation rod (17), and in that said channels in each of the two rows of retainers are either flush the one with the other or slightly offset in position, and in that sait fixation rods (17) are inserted into said channels in said retainers (12) to extend over the entire length of each of said rows of retainers.
