Printing device with additional electrostatic field for assisting the colour transfer from a printing cylinder (2) onto a dielectric substrate web (3) in a printing gap (6) formed between he printing cylinder surface and an electrostatically chargeable outer sheating layer (5) of a hollow-cylindrical impression roller (4), with the outer sheathing layer (5), for the electrostatic charging of at least one section of the outer sheathing layer (5) of the impression roller (4), which selection is in each case moved through the printing gap, being loaded with a high voltage which is fed into the inner space (8) of the impression roller (4) via a highvoltage lead (9) guided through at least one of the endface bearing arrangements (10) fo the impression roller (4), and with conducting means (13) which are firmly insulated against high voltage and are guided through the hollow-cylindrical wall construction of the impression roller (4) being available between the inner space of the impression roller (4) and its electrostatically chargeable outer sheathing layer (5), which conducting means (13) are connected at least in section to the outer sheathing layer (5), characterized by an inductor device (7) for loading the outer sheathing layer (5), which inductor device (7) is provided in the inner space (8) of the hollow-cylindrical impression roller (4).
