Zur Vermeidung von Wechselwirkungen zwischen dem Sauerstoff/Stickstoff der Atmosphäre und einem Metallbad in einer Giesspfanne (1) welche mit einem Deckel (2) versehen ist, wird im Deckelinnern ein Überdruck erzeugt und um den Deckel (2) herum kontinuierlich Gas abgesaugt ohne den Überdruck unter dem Deckel abzubauen.
