Abstract (en)
The float (1) is designed in such a way that it can if need be serve as a lifeboat. For this purpose, an inner sphere (3a, 3b) is movably mounted in an outer sphere (2a, 2b) via rolling-contact bearings (4, 5) and has a weight arrangement which preferably comprises at least one seat (22) which shifts the centre of gravity downwards relative to the centre point of the sphere (3a, 3b). In this way, the outer sphere (2a, 2b), which can be closed tight by a lid (16), can also be exposed to rough seas, the inner sphere (3a, 3b) always maintaining its upright position. Installation of the inner sphere (3a, 3b) is facilitated if the outer sphere (2a, 2b) is constructed of at least two parts (2a and 2b respectively) which can be tightly connected to one another via a connecting device (9a, 9b, 10).

Ein Schwimmkörper (1) ist so ausgebildet, dass er gegebenfalls als Rettungsboot dienen kann. Hiezu ist in einer Aussenkugel (2a, 2b) eine Innenkugel (3a, 3b) über Wälzlager (4, 5) beweglich gelagert und weist eine Gewichtsanordnung auf, die vorzugsweise wenigstens eine Sitzgelegenheit (22) umfasst, durch die der Schwerpunkt gegenüber dem Mittelpunkt der Kugel (3a, 3b) nach unten verlegt wird. Auf diese Weise kann die durch einen Deckel (16) dicht verschliessbare Aussenkugel (2a, 2b) auch hohem Seegang ausgesetzt werden, wobei die Innenkugel (3a, 3b) stets ihre aufrechte Lage beibehält. Der Einbau der Innenkugel (3a, 3b) wird erleichtert, wenn die Aussenkugel (2a, 2b) aus wenigstens zwei, über eine Verbindungseinrichtung (9a, 9b, 10) dicht miteinander verbindbaren Teilen (2a bzw. 2b) aufgebaut ist.
