Es wird ein Lagerbehälter für radioacktives Material, insbesondere für abgebrannte Brennelemente beschrieben, bestehend aus einem Grundkörper mit Deckel, einem den Deckel und den Grundkörper umgebenden Mantel aus einem korrosionsbeständigen Material und einem Tragzapfen. Zur Material- und Raumeinsparung wird der Tragzapfen. Zur Material- und Raumeinsparung wird der Tragzapfen auswechselbar in einer Buchse befestigt, die in einer Ausnehmung des Deckels eingesetzt ist. Buchse und Mantel bestehen dabei aus dem gleichen Material.
