In a device for air conditioning the passenger compartments of rail coaches by feeding in prepared air via at least one channel (3) extending in the roof space of the coach length, the passengers are largely prevented from being troubled by expelled air by the pairing of air inlet openings (5) with air suction openings (8) in a roof- mounted position in such a way that after a circulation of feed air which began at the roof in the passenger compartment and rotates into the room, exhaust air can finally be drawn off again at the roof into a circulating air return line (9). <IMAGE>

Bei einer Einrichtung zum Klimatisieren des Fahrgastraumes von Reisezugwagen durch Zuleiten von aufbereiteter Luft über wenigstens einen im Dachraum der Wagenlänge nach sich erstreckenden Kanal (3) wird eine Belästigung der Fahrgäste durch Blasluft weitgehend ausgeschlossen durch die Paarung von Lufteinblasöffnungen (5) mit Luftabsaugöffnungen (8) in dachseitiger Positionierung derart, daß nach einem im Fahrgastraum dachseitig begonnenen, raumeinwärtsdrehenden Kreislauf von Zuluft letztlich wieder dachseitig Abluft in eine Umluftrückführung (9) abführbar ist.
