A lining for a door frame, comprising two spaced apart bars, the ends of which extend around the edge of the door frame (2, 3, 3'), wherein the ends (4a, 4a') at least partly overlap the reveal (2) and are formed with confronting open first pockets, grooves or the like (5, 5') for receiving a plate (6) for covering the reveal, and second pockets for receiving means for fastening the bars (4, 4') to the door frame, and each bar has openings (18, 18') for the fastening means (19, 19'), characterized in that those portions of the bars (4, 4') which overlap the reveal (2) are provided each with a substantially T-shaped extension (8, 10), which has a crosspiece (10), which constitutes the bottoms of the first and second pockets, the bores (18) for receiving the fastening means (19) for the bars provided at the bottom of the crosspiece (10), the openings (18) have an axis which is inclined towards the center of the door frame, the crosspiece (10) is provided with bores (11) for additional fastening means (12, 12') for holding the covering plate (6) in position relative to the bars (4, 4'), and covering or sealing bars (14' 15) for closing the second pocket are provided.
