[origin: US4566234A] A window frame is made up of frame sides connected together at mitered corner joints. The frame sides are formed of a wood or wood material core with a metal foil laminate on the exterior frame surfaces and a decorative laminate on the interior of the frame surfaces. A thin corrugated metal foil is placed over the mitered corner joints and is soldered to the metal foil laminate. Drain bores in the window frame are lined with thin metal pipes. The window frame incorporates the positive properties of wood, plastics and metal without the negative properties.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Fensterrahmen aus Holz oder Holzwerkstoffen aus einem Block, der an der Außenseite mit einem Metallfolienlaminat und an der Innenseite mit einem Dekorlaminat versehen ist. Über die Gehrungsfugen der Eckverbindungen ist ein Formstück aus dünner gewellter Metallfolie aufgelötet. Im Fensterrahmen befinden sich Entwässerungsbohrungen, die mit dünnen Metallrohren ausgekleidet sind. Die Innenseite des Fensterrahmens ist mit einem dekorativen Laminat beschichtet. Die Vorteile der Erfindung bestehen darin, daß die für Fensterrahmen positiven Eigenschaften der Werkstoffe Holz, Kunststoff und Metall gleichzeitig vorhanden sind, während die negativen Eigenschaften der einzelnen Materialien eliminiert sind.
