1. A flexible package made of a plastic material, which is capable of standing by itself and is suitable for products to be packaged which are under internal gas pressure, particular liquids, comprising a cylindrically shaped body (1) made from a composite film, where both surfaces are sealable, and a top cover part (2) and a bottom cover part (4) which are each made from a sealable composite film and bonded to the two ends of the cylindrically shaped body sealing, with the bottom cover part (4) being sealed to the internal surface wall of the cylindrically shaped body (1), wherein - the bottom cover part (4) comprises a cylindrical portion and an outwardly vaulted portion, its cylindrical portion being sealed to the cylindrically shaped body in such a way that its rim points in the direction of the cover part (2) and that the rim of the cylindrically shaped body (1) projects beyond said bottom cover part, thus improving the capability of standing of the package ; - the top cover part (2) has a cylindrical portion which is sealed to the outer or to the inner surface of the cylindrically shaped body (1) in such a way that its rim points in the direction of the bottom part (4), and - the composite film of the cylindrically shaped body, of the top cover part (2) and of the bottom cover part (4) comprises a metal layer, preferably an alumminum foil.
