[origin: US4479434A] An ink fountain, incorporating individually regulated metering segments, for a printing machine, comprises a vat containing ink and delimited, on one side, by a horizontal inking roller. The upper edges of the metering segments determine, with the peripheral surface of the inking roller, gaps of widths adjustable as a function of the thickness of the film of ink having to be formed on the inking roller. Regulating pusher elements are mounted to slide in a body and act respectively, at their ends, on the upper parts of the individual metering segments. Each metering segment is fixed on a front face of a common support block itself removably mounted on the body, this block being pierced, in its upper part, with holes through which extend the pusher elements acting on the segments and adapted to be dismantled jointly with segments which it bears.

Un encrier à segments doseurs réglés individuellement pour imprimeuse comporte une série de segments doseurs (6) alignés parallèlement au cylindre encrier, et des poussoirs de réglage (12) montés à coulissement dans le corps et agissant respectivement, à leurs extremités, sur les parties supérieures des segments doseurs individuels (6). Pour permettre un un changement aisé et rapide des segments doseurs chaque segment doseur (6) est fixé sur une face frontale (7a) d'un bloc support commun (7) lui-même monté amovible sur le corps (2) de l'encrier, ce bloc (7) étant percé, dans sa partie supérieure, de trous (14) à travers lesquels s'étendent les poussoirs (12) agissant sur les segments.
