Method for the recording of flexible wording time with the aid of a telephone set (FA), which is connected to a centrally controlled telephone exchange (VA), in particular a private branch exchange, and used for data input, wherein data identifying the employee and obtained through identification of the connection and associated time information data are summarised in order to make a data processing possible, characterized thereby, that an input equipment (EE), a digitally operating clock block (UB) and an intemediate store (ZSP) are provided in the telephone set (FA), that the actual time information just then present in the clock block (UB) of the telephone set (FA) is entered into the intermediate store (ZSP) on actuation of the input equipment (EE), that all telephone sets (FA) participating in the recording of flexible working time are addressed daily from the telephone exchange (VA), predominantly in times of weak trafic, wherein the time information data disposed in the intermediate store (ZSP) are transmitted by way of the subscriber connection line to the telephone exchange (VA) and that the data identifying the employee are added in the telephone exchange (VA) to the respective time information data.
