1. A process for making link belts of synthetic wire material for use with paper making machines, in which wire helices (1, 2) with alternating right-hand and left-hand pitch are laterally slid one into the other whereby closely interlocked crowns of adjacent wire helices (1, 2) form tubular channels (13, 14) into which connecting wires (8) of synthetic material are threaded characterized in that - the connecting wires (8) are thermally fixed prior to being threaded into the channels (13, 14), and - in one operation, one connecting wire (8), each, is threaded into at least two adjacent channels (13, 14).

Ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum Herstellen von Drahtgliederbändern, deren Wendeln mit Verbindungsdrähten verbunden sind, wird beschrieben. Dabei werden mehrere Verbindungsdrähte (8) gemeinsam in die röhrenförmigen Öffnungen (13, 14) der ineinandergreifenden Windungen benachbarter Wendeln eingeschoben. Es wird dadurch das Herstellen von Drahtgliederbändern rationeller und einfacher und mechanisierter.
