[origin: EP0117439A2] Cross cap with a central cross in which a fork and, opposite each fork, a tip are arranged at two ends each. Such cross caps are welded in one piece and are therefore heavy. Any repairs or stock keeping always involves the complete cross cap. These disadvantages can be alleviated by the connection of fork and tip to the central cross being designed as a push-in connection. The individual parts are easier to handle and the repair and stock keeping always involves only individual parts which can in each case be assembled to form a new unit. <IMAGE>
