1. Lifting appliance, in particular nacelle (1) of generally rectangular, powered, suspended type, able to move upwardly and reversely along a facade wall or a bulding, characterized in that, on the one hand, along its lengthwise centre, are aligned a motor (2) able to be connected through a first transmission shaft (3) with a coupling-reversing device (4), for example controlled by means of a pneumatic jack, this coupling-reversing device being connected through a second shaft (5) with a case (6) containing a reduction unit intended to change the driving motion into a right-angled one, said second transmission shaft (5) bearing between the coupling-reversing device (4) and the case (6) containing the reduction unit, a flywheel (7) which is integral with said shaft and can be decelerated and blocked by means of a braking device (8) with jaws (9, 9') acting on the flywheel and the opening of which can only be obtained through a pressure exerted on a control means, this case containing said reduction unit driving, on the other hand, perpendicularly to the transverse alignment and on both sides, a third transmission shaft (10, 10') at the ends of which is located a lifting wheel (12) on which in each case passes a chain (14, 14') fastened along a building.

Cette nacelle se caractérise en ce que d'une part, en son centre longitudinal sont alignés un moteur (2) pouvant s'accoupler par un premier arbre de transmission (3) à un coupleur-inverseur (4) par exemple commandé par un vérin pneumatique, coupleur qui est relié par un deuxième arbre (5) à une boîte (6) comportant un réducteur, destiné à renvoyer à angle droit le mouvement moteur, et deuxième arbre de transmission (3) portant interposé, entre le coupleur-inverseur (4) et la boîte (6) contenant le réducteur, un volant (7) solidaire de ce dit arbre qui peut être ralenti et bloqué par un dispositif de freinage (8) à mâchoires (9, 9') prenant sur le volant dont l'ouverture n'est obtenue que par la pression sur un moyen de commande, et boîte contenant ce réducteur qui, d'autre part, entraîne, perpendiculairement à l'alignement transversal, de part et d'autre, un troisième arbre de transmission (10, 10') aux extrémités duquel est placée une noix de levage (12) sur laquelle prend à chaque fois une chaîne (14, 14') accrochée le long d'un bâtiment.
