Abstract (en)

1. Switchable four-port network composed of two axially superposed Y circulators with two circulator arms being connected to one another and the superposed gyromagnetically active ferrite discs of the two circulators being jointly exposed to a direct magnetic field, characterized in that the circulators (1, 2) are rotated against one another about their axis 50 and/or the circulator arms are angled in such a manner that two arms of each circulator end at ports (a, c, or b, d, respectively) which are oriented in opposite directions ; the ports (a, c) of the one circulator are oriented in 90 rotation with respect to the ports (b, d) of the other circulator and the polarity of the direct magnetic field is reversible.

Abstract (de)

Der Erfindung liegt ein schaltbares Viertor zugrunde, das aus zwei, einem umpolbaren Magnetfeld ausgesetzten, axial übereinander angeordnete Zirkulatoren (1,2) besteht. Die Zirkulatoren sind so gegeneinander verdreht und/oder die Zirkulatorarme so abgewinkelt, daß jeweils zwei Arme eines jeden Zirkulators an Toren (a, c, bzw. b, d) enden, die in entgegengesetzte Richtungen weisen und die Tore (a, c) des einen Zirkulators gegenüber den Toren (b, d) des anderen Zirkulators um 90° verdreht ausgerichtet sind.
