Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0118077A2] 1. A miter cutting abutment for wood-working machines comprising a workpiece abutment (8) arranged transversely to the feed direction of a workpiece support, and which is pivotally mounted for motion about an axis (a) arranged perpendicularly to the support surface of the workpiece support and is able to be pivoted in both directions out of a zero setting and is able to be locked in relation to the workpiece support by means of a removable index pin (21) and the workpiece support has index holes (22) arranged on part of circle extending about the pivot axis (a) of the workpiece abutment (8) for the zero setting and other preferred angular settings, so that the index pin (21) may be set in such holes, characterized in that the workpiece abutment (8) comprises an index rail (9) which is pivotally mounted on the workpiece support for motion about an axis (a) which is perpendicular to the support face of the workpiece support and is exactly adapted to fit the index pin (21) and an abutment rail (10) which is pivotally mounted on the index rail for pivoting relation to the index pin (21) also about an axis (a) which is perpendicular to the support face of the workpiece support, the pivotal setting of the rail (10) being able to be made by means of a setting (24) device in relation to the index rail (9).
