Cet appareil se caractérise en ce qu'il comprend un microprocesseur (CPU) commandant l'administration de médicaments, une mémoire de programme (ROM) pour stocker le programme d'où le microprocesseur (CPU) extrait ses instructions, une mémoire de paramètres (RAM) pour stocker les paramètres qui caractérisent le processus désiré d'administration, et un clavier (TG) et un affichage (D) permettant l'introduction des paramètres dans la mémoire de paramètres et d'afficher les informations nécessaires.
