The device, which comprises a multiplicity of essentially flat carrier elements (6) which are parallel to one another and which can be pushed to and fro by means of a roller bearing between a storage position and a presentation position, is intended to enable the possibility of an industrial prefabrication in an improved way and the installation independently of the ceiling construction and the room height. For this purpose, provision is made that every carrier element (6) has, at its top (13), guide rollers (14) which can be rotated around vertical axes and which are guided in a guide rail (5) which is mounted in a fixed position, engages over the rollers and is U-shaped in cross section, and that running wheels (7, 8) are arranged at the bottom of the carrier element (6) and run at least partly on rails (30, 32). <IMAGE>

Bei einer Vorrichtung zur Aufbewahrung und Präsentation von flachen Gegenständen, insbesondere von Bildern, umfassend eine Mehrzahl zueinander paralleler, im wesentlichen ebener Trägerelemente (6), welche mittels einer Rollenlagerung zwischen einer Aufbewahrungs- und einer Präsentationsstellung hin- und herschiebbar sind, soll die Möglichkeit einer industriellen Vorfertigung verbessert und die Aufstellung unabhängig von der Deckenkonstruktion und der Raumhöhe ermöglicht werden. Hierzu ist vorgesehen, daß jedes Trägerelement (6) an seiner Oberkante (13) um vertikale Achsen drehbare Führungsrollen (14) aufweist, die in einer ortsfest gelagerten, diese übergreifenden, im Querschnitt U-förmigen Führungsschiene (5) geführt sind, und daß an der Unterkante des Trägerelements (6) wenigstens teilweise auf Schienen (30, 32) geführt laufende Laufräder (7, 8) angeordnet sind.
