[origin: US4523724A] A coiling-down tank (1) comprises a circular outer wall (3) delimiting a coiling-down zone, and cable (4) to be coiled down (e.g. heavy electric cable) is delivered to the machine (10) from a point (80) vertically above the center of the tank. The machine comprises an upper support bracket (70) mounted to rotate about the vertical axis of the tank, a sloping coiling-down arm (20) connected at its upper end to said bracket and supported at its lower end by running means disposed to run along the said wall (3) of the tank (1). The arm is fitted with a carriage (30) that is longitudinally displaceable along the arm, and an inlet chute (60) receives cable from the point (80). The inlet chute guides the cable into the carriage, and the lower end of the carriage serves to dispense the cable into the tank for coiling down. In operation, the cable passes successively from the inlet chute, into a variable point along the carriage depending on its longitudinal position along the arm, and then from the lower end of the carriage into the tank.

Machine semi-automatique (10) à poste fixe de lovage d'un câble (4) à l'intérieur d'une cuve (1), le câble étant distribué à la verticale au centre de la cuve comprenant une paroi externe (3) délimitant une zone de lovage. Cette machine est caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend, une potence (70) tournant autour d'un axe placé à la verticale de l'axe de la cuve, un bras loveur (20) oblique accroché à la potence (70) et roulant sur la paroi extérieure (3) de la cuve (1), un chariot (30) coulissant le long du bras loveur pour distribuer le câble dans la zone de lovage, une potence guide-câble (60), le câble passant successivement dans la potence guide-câble (60) et dans le chariot (30). Cette machine est principalement utilisée pour le stockage de gros câbles électriques dans des cuves.
